More Than a Repair—A Complete Rebuild

Michael’s Nissan Patrol V8 winch competition truck underwent an extensive rebuild in 2011. The project included a brand-new cab, completely renewed wiring, a reinforced competition cage and numerous upgrades and modifications.

The objective was to rebuild the truck stronger, safer and ready to return to demanding Australian 4WD winch competition.

More Than 1,000 Hours of Work

The rebuild took well over 1,000 hours to complete and involved approximately $45,000 in parts alone, excluding the value of the labour contributed throughout the project.

The work included a replacement cab, completely new wiring, a reinforced cage and an extensive range of competition-focused upgrades and modifications.

Unfortunately, after all that work, the truck was rolled during a test run at one of the WTC rounds. It became another major challenge in the continuing story of the truck and the people behind it.
